I'm relatively certain that I'll be lifting at the state meet in March and then possibly the Vegas meet this summer.

Wow, my log is still here. I've been using the Gillingham 12 week raw bench program since last spring. I think this is my third time through the program. I like it a lot. It has really helped with my elbow problems. I'm also using the Gillingham deadlift and squat program. I still suck at both lifts, but I'm steadily improving. I'll only be posting heavy bench day.

week 1 8/17 230x1, 205 3x5, Body weight 140 (I know, I got a little fat)
week 2 8/24 235x1, 210 5x3, Body weight 136

I might attempt to get down to 123 again. I'll have to see how I feel at 130. I don't have any specific meet in mind at the moment. It's been almost a year since I competed, so I'd like to get one in this fall.

Did Gary really say he was going to compete in bodybuilding? I heard that was a gateway to gay porn. :D

Pretty funny Jay. Your comment made me rethink my choice of presenting my body on stage. Decided going to do Men's figure or physique whatever it is called. The competition that is in board shorts. Honestly was considering that before your "gay porn" comment. Bought a pair of posing trunks, salmon colored with sequins, and the really made my a** look big. Carrie said I looked sexy but there was a gay porn vibe to it.

Been staring @ that Gillingham bench program for 7 months. I like its simplicity and the gains, although modest, seem realistic and solid. Not familiar with the squat or dead program will Google it. Am glad to see you posting. Hope to see you @ a meet soon.
Everyone says love hurts, but that’s not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love; Love is the one thing in this world that does not hurt.

Week 3 8/31

Heavy single (paused) 240x1
Working sets (every rep paused) 215 5x3

I think older, drug-free lifters can really benefit from the lower volume offered by this program. My body just doesn't seem to hold-up well to some of the other programs I've tried and I was constantly having diminished returns after multiple weeks of max effort/high volume heavy lifting. That isn't a problem anymore and I always feel fully recovered between workouts, which was never the case before.

Gary, if you can pull-off a g-string, more power to you. That takes some serious balls.
