Did cardio on the treadmill this morning for 30 minutes at 0630. Ran for about 20 min out of 30.
I have to do this at least a couple times a week because I need it. Gotta maintain my cardio.
Plus it gives me better endurance for strength training. The only other training session I have will be on Friday morning setting up 4 warmup platforms, and 1 competition platform. Luckily I have two great guys helping me set up. If your coming to the LA Fit Expo I will see you there this weekend. www.thefitexpo.com
Saturday 0930 to 1830
Sunday 1000 to 1700.

I here you about needing the cardio. I am realizing it is a necessary evil. I mentioned before I was walking almost everday with my son in his stroller 3-5 miles. Not to strenuous but up and down the small hills in the hot Cuba weather left me feeling a bit worn. Just that little bit of cardio helped tremendously. My workouts were strong without getting too winded. Now I am gasping for air on my warmups, sad.

Good luck with the Fit Expo I am sure it will be your typical great meet. Looking forward to seeing the results. Honestly wish I was there to help you set up....That would mean I was back in sunny, warm, friendly, southern California.
Everyone says love hurts, but that’s not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love; Love is the one thing in this world that does not hurt.

I haven't posted for two months. I have trained a few times though! Just too busy to post my training log.
I spent several training sessions over the last two months at Estrada's gym in San Luis Obispo training with Alan Best. What a beast. Alan is a true one of a kind strength specimen. Its an honor to train with him. The guy has no fear of the weight.

Today I squatted at the Orange County Strength Club in Fountain Valley. Had a pretty good squat training session. I trained raw with no belt or wraps today. 240x10, 330x8, 420x8, 510x3.
Assistance work: Good mornings 3x10 @ 240 with cambered bar.

I've been training just not posting my log religiously like everyone else on here.
Today I went up to Chatsworth to train bench with the Over 60 guys. Ron Moormeister invited me up to train in Bob Evans garage gym. I have one of my combo racks in his garage. I had a nice training session with Ron, Larry Negriff, Harry Packer, Bob Evans, John Sanchez. Tom Moormeister was there spotting. He was just back from the Hawaii meet last weekend. Kevin Meskew was there in a shoulder sling. He just had surgery. Steve Bloom was also there. He also went thru shoulder surgery.
Warmed up my shoulders with 5 lb plates.
Then did 135x10, 225x5, 315x5, 365x5
405x5 with one board, 425x3 with 2 board.
Shirted up with my size 54 RageX and went up to 495x1, 545x1.
Its been awhile since I've been in my shirt. Need to probably get a size 52.
Finished up with 315x8.

I don't know when I'll get back on the platform. I need to go out of state to compete at somebody else's meet. :)
Right now I'm training to stay strong and maintain size. Nothing more. I might shoot for the meet in Grass Valley on Sept 10. We'll see.
